Carbon peeling

A beautician assesses the skin condition, determines the duration of the course. They conduct instrumental skin diagnostics using the Cortex device. The professional visually inspects the surface for external contraindications. If there are active rashes, treatment is prescribed, and initiation of the course is postponed. On average, for even tone, elimination of defects 1-3 procedures at a 1-month interval are required.

The client has to pass the carboxylic acid tolerance test. Skin treatment can be initiated when the result comes back negative.

The procedure takes place in stages:

The beautician removes make-up and traces of skin care products from surfaces. Hair is covered with a special cap, goggles are put on to protect the eyes.

Fine coal-based mask-gel containing mineral substances and oils is applied to the surface. The product is left for 8 minutes for deep penetration of all components into the pores.

The next stage is called photothermolysis. Laser is used to heat the gel-covered surface. The beam and coal particles interact, resulting in micro-explosions in pores. During such an impulse, sebaceous plugs, impurities, dead cells are pushed to the surface and separated from the skin, enveloped with oils. Additionally, the synthesis of elastin and collagen is stimulated to form a new, more elastic skin layer.

After the procedure, the remains of the gel are removed with cosmetic wipes. A special agent is applied to the surface.

The client goes home.

Immediately after the session, there will be a mild redness on the face. The effect will persist up to 24 hours. There is no need to be concerned about minor inflammations on the skin. This is a result of deep cleansing of pores. There will be no reactions after subsequent carbon peeling procedures at ANACOSMA clinic in Kyiv, the skin will adapt, and the major impurities will be removed.

Slight peeling of the skin is possible by day 2-3.

After the session, the beautician will recommend the following:

• do not wash your face for the rest of the day until the next morning,
• do not apply make-up or skin care products after laser carbon peeling for 24 hours,
• wipe the surface with chlorhexidine twice a day. The antiseptic removes inflammatory reactions, prevents pimples,
• do not apply alcohol-based tonics,
• avoid sunbathing, going to tanning parlours for a month (as well as one month before the procedure).
