Facial cleansing is a procedure aimed at removing impurities, blackheads, sebum plugs, acne, pimples, clogged pores, as well as eliminating the top layer of dead skin cells.
There are several types of facial cleansing:
Ultrasonic facial cleansing – the gentlest and most superficial hardware cleansing. Recommended for people with dry or normal skin to refresh and rejuvenate the complexion. The procedure is completely painless, has no side effects, and requires no recovery period. Ultrasonic cleansing does not require special preparation and can be done at any convenient time.
Mechanical (manual) facial cleansing – involves applying mechanical pressure to the skin to remove comedones, dead epidermal cells, acne, and cosmetic impurities. This type of cleansing improves blood circulation and the function of sebaceous glands. The procedure is performed manually by a cosmetologist using a special Uno spoon. Deep pore cleansing allows better penetration of active ingredients from creams. Considered the most traumatic but also the most effective cleansing. With regular skin care, this type of cleansing is needed less frequently.
Combined facial cleansing – a procedure that includes several types of cleansing to achieve the best results. Usually, it combines mechanical and ultrasonic cleansing. This method takes into account all contraindications of each cleansing method and the specific features of individual facial areas. Suitable for everyone, as it allows gentle treatment of some areas and deep cleansing of others.
Vacuum facial cleansing – a hardware method using the Glow Solution device, a specialized medical apparatus equipped with a vacuum nozzle that creates negative pressure. This procedure is completely painless and carefully cleanses the superficial skin layers and shallow pores.
Professional facial cleansing at ANACOSMA Clinic involves a combination of different techniques tailored to the patient’s needs to achieve the desired results. For example, mechanical facial cleansing (or deep cleansing) provides thorough removal of acne and breakouts, while ultrasonic cleansing focuses on removing impurities and dead epithelial cells that interfere with normal skin function, improving the complexion.
Before starting the cleansing procedure, the cosmetologist conducts a consultation and examination, during which the doctor assesses the skin condition and type, collects the patient’s medical history, rules out possible contraindications, adjusts the cleansing method, and selects further care according to your wishes and individual needs. Then, the skin and pores are cleaned of impurities, dead cells, and sebum. The final step is the application of a serum to boost immunity and soothe the skin.
At ANACOSMA Clinic, facial cleansing is minimally traumatic. Slight redness after the procedure is rare and occurs only on sensitive skin (it completely disappears within a few hours). For several days after the procedure, it is not recommended to visit saunas or pools. For 7 days following cleansing, sunscreen should be applied to protect the skin from direct sunlight (although ANACOSMA doctors recommend daily sun protection regardless of procedures).
