Cryolipolysis CRISTAL
Removal of up to 30 % of fatty tissues in 1 session! The only solution for “fat traps” – NO SURGERY and NO INJECTIONS!

Cryolipolysis is a safe and reliable method for eliminating localized fat deposits using cold exposure, without the need for surgery, injections, or anesthesia.
Cryolipolysis was discovered during research [1] investigating the effects of cold on subcutaneous fat tissue. The results showed that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than other types of cells (such as muscles, nerves, or skin). Fat cells begin to crystallize (die) at +4°C (39.2°F).

The effectiveness and safety of this non-invasive fat reduction method have been demonstrated in studies [2]. During cryolipolysis, fat cells are precisely cooled until they crystallize. At sub-zero temperatures, the fat cells die.
The body then gradually eliminates them naturally—a process that occurs constantly in the human body with all types of tissue cells—through the lymphatic system.

Medical cryolipolysis Cristal® Pro is the best solution for eliminating fat traps without surgery (liposuction) and without injections (lipolytics). It is the most popular slimming device in France.
During the procedure, cold between -5°C and -12°C is applied to subcutaneous fat. Based on the amount of fat, the doctor selects the duration (30–90 minutes) and precise temperature. Fat cells (adipocytes) cannot withstand cold exposure and die off. Since the body has a genetically predetermined number of fat cells, they do not regenerate and are naturally eliminated by the lymphatic system over several months after the procedure.
Both cryolipolysis and liposuction aim to remove stubborn fat. Liposuction is suitable for larger volumes and achieves immediate results in one session, with a broader range of application. However, liposuction is a surgical procedure: it requires incisions (up to 1 cm), is performed under anesthesia in an operating room, and involves a recovery period.
Cryolipolysis, by contrast, reduces fat in the treated area by 20–30% per session. Larger deposits may require multiple sessions. The procedure is comfortable, non-invasive, requires no cuts, anesthesia, or downtime.
The cold effect of the medical cryolipolysis device Cristal® Pro (Deleo, France), in comparison with other types of non-invasive liposuction (on devices, for example, Korean or Chinese production), occurs under the strict control of a specially designed ultrasound sensor. It helps to accurately determine the parameters of the effect on each treated area. It can be used to determine the thickness of the subcutaneous fat before and after the procedure, as well as visualize different layers of the skin and determine the volume of muscles. This allows you to set up an individual plan for the procedure and maximize the results. After all, the doctor can individually select the settings for each zone being treated.
In addition, when accurately determining the thickness of the fat fold, the area of the deep layer of subcutaneous connective tissue, where the nerve endings and blood vessels that nourish the skin are located, is not affected. This allows you to avoid complications such as impaired skin sensitivity, frostbite, necrosis, and other negative phenomena.
The CRISTAL Pro device’s cooling system quickly lowers the temperature to -12°C, which ensures maximum efficiency of the procedure and allows you to achieve the desired results in just 30 minutes. The new level of temperature reduction guarantees optimal action on fat cells, allowing you to quickly get rid of excess volume and get the perfect body shape.
The innovative Cavity Cooling Diffusion System™, developed and patented by Deleo, significantly expands the possibilities of cryolipolysis. Unlike first-generation devices that could only cool two sides of the applicator using Peltier elements, CCDS™ allows the cold to spread 360° over the entire area of impact of the nozzle. This intensively, evenly and safely cools the fat fold during the procedure, which allows for an even greater number of adipocytes (fat cells) to be frozen evenly.
The CRISTAL® Pro system allows you to perform treatments on four areas of the body and face simultaneously, with dual-zone control, saving time. In addition, the device is equipped with 8 different attachments, which significantly expands the areas of application. The goal of the CRISTAL Pro is to provide 360° contouring to optimize results and maximize patient satisfaction.
Patient safety is one of Deleo’s priorities, which is why CRISTAL Pro cryoprotective gel wipes are class I medical devices, are entirely manufactured in France and have the CE medical marking in accordance with Directive 93/42/EC and comply with the new European regulation on medical devices (Medical De Regulation).
The skin in the treatment area is protected from the cold with a special gel and a napkin. This ensures that weight loss in the desired body parts occurs evenly and safely, as proven by clinical studies. [3]
Thanks to the continuous quality improvement system, Deleo has the international quality certificate for medical devices ISO13485, and the CRISTAL® Pro device was developed in accordance with European medical standards, received the medical CE mark, and is also certified by the European Union. For such reliability, Cristal is the only cryolipolysis device in the world to be awarded the title of “medical cryolipolysis” compared to the American Coolsculpting.
Liposuction or Cryolipolysis – Which to Choose?
This decision should be made together with a doctor during a consultation. It is important to determine whether there are indications for either fat-reduction method, assess the size of the fat fold, and see whether your goals can be achieved without surgery.
Before the cryolipolysis procedure, a physician always conducts a consultation to develop a personalized treatment plan, determine whether there are any contraindications, and answer all patient questions.
To assess body composition—including fat, muscle, bone structure, and water content—a body composition analysis (InBody) is performed. Body measurements, weight, and pre-procedure photos are also taken to document the results.
The thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer is measured using a specialized ultrasound sensor. The physician then marks the applicator placement area, scans the cryoprotective pad, applies it to the treatment site, and sets up the applicator by selecting the duration and temperature (down to -12°C).
Depending on the treatment area and specific goals, either flat applicators (also used to improve skin contour) that attach closely to the body, or vacuum applicators that gently draw in the fat fold, are used.
Cold allergy
Fat fold thickness less than 1.5 cm
Any diseases in the acute stage, any inflammatory conditions, elevated body temperature
Diabetes mellitus
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
List of sources used:
The first results become noticeable within 2–4 weeks after the procedure (volume is reduced by several centimeters), and the effect is cumulative. The body continues to eliminate the crystallized subcutaneous fat for up to 3 months after medical cryolipolysis.
At the ANACOSMA clinic, patients have observed slimming results of up to 8 cm in the treated area. However, the extent of the result depends on the initial condition: the more excess fat a person has, the more visible the slimming effect.
As a reminder, under the influence of cold, adipocytes (fat cells) are destroyed and then eliminated through the lymphatic system. These fat cells are permanently destroyed—ensuring long-lasting results.
