The pellets are implanted in a small operating room using a local anesthetic. The procedure is quick, it only takes about 15 minutes.

An area of the skin (most often the upper part of the buttocks) is anesthetized, treated with an antiseptic, the doctor makes a small incision in the skin and inserts a granule. Next, the wound is treated with an antiseptic and a sterile bandage is applied.

The rehabilitation period is quick and easy. There may be slight redness around the incision. The injection site should not be wetted for several days. The dressing must remain dry and must be worn for 2-3 days. The bandage is then removed. Complete healing will occur in 7-10 days. Women need to avoid physical activity for 14 days, and men for 7 days.
