What is non-surgical rhinoplasty?
The nose is the most noticeable part of the face. That is why women often pay special attention to it: they want to remove the hump, raise the tip, narrow and level the bridge of the nose, remove the split at the tip. But the fear of surgery prevents them from realizing their dream.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty – changing the shape of the nose by introducing small injections of filler or the patient’s own fat (lipofilling). Depending on what exactly needs to be corrected, the filler is injected into the dorsum of the nose, the columella area. With the help of the drug or fat, you can: raise the lowered tip, level the dorsum, remove the bifurcation of the tip and the tubercle.
What fillers do I use for non-surgical rhinoplasty?
Two types of filler can be used for injection rhinoplasty:
- Based on hyaluronic acid. Pros – the drug is easy to remove if you don’t like the result, cons – the result lasts up to 1 year.
- Based on calcium hydroxyapatite – Radiesse. Pros – the result lasts for 1-2 years, cons – the filler is dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced doctor, as it can lead to serious complications due to incorrect administration (like any other filler).
During lipofilling, the plastic surgeon during the consultation pre-assigns the patient to take the necessary basic laboratory tests, and only after receiving the results is the correction day assigned. On the day of non-surgical rhinoplasty, the doctor first takes a small amount of adipose tissue from the patient (the collection can be done from those places on the body that the patient wants to make more elegant).
INDICATIONS FOR NON-SURGERY RHINOSYNTHESIS
It is important to understand that this method of nose correction is not suitable for everyone. An important condition for injection rhinoplasty is the absence of the need to correct the internal structures of the nose (this requires surgery – septoplasty ). With the help of fillers, the following aesthetic defects can be eliminated:
- get rid of asymmetry
- to smooth out a bump ᅠ
- remove the split at the tip ᅠ
- raise the tip ᅠ
POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS TO NON-SURGICAL ROSE CORRECTION
Nose correction with fillers is dangerous in the hands of inexperienced doctors, as the nose contains a huge number of blood vessels and it is extremely important to know the anatomy thoroughly in order to correctly administer the drug.
Non-surgical nose correction is also more dangerous due to vascular damage in patients who have suffered injuries or surgeries in the external nose area (including rhinoplasty), so only a plastic surgeon can perform this procedure.
In case of pronounced deformations and initially large nose, the procedure is ineffective, because fillers cannot correct pronounced deformations. Also, nose correction without surgery will not help to make the size of the nose smaller, only larger (because the drug is injected). Injection rhinoplasty can create the illusion of a smaller nose. In other cases, when it is really necessary to reduce the nose, an operation is indicated – rhinoplasty . However, non-surgical nose correction is an ideal solution for those who are not ready for plastic surgery, but want to correct their appearance.
