Fat transfer to buttocks

The procedure for augmentation of the gluteal zone with own fat is quite safe, but consultation with a plastic surgeon before surgery is required. Then lipofilling takes place – refined fat is injected into the buttocks. For this, cannulas are used. The most suitable for insertion is the upper part of the buttock with an emphasis shifted to the upper lateral direction. This allows you to get a more harmonious and natural shape, and to raise the buttock if it is lowered.

Rehabilitation after lipofilling of the buttocks is quite quick, you need to follow the doctor’s recommendations for better fat establishment:

• wear special compression underwear for 2-4 weeks in areas where fat was taken;
• avoid any squeezing of the buttock area (to minimize trauma to the injected fat cells, so that as many as possible take root), for example, it is forbidden to wear squeezing clothing;
• minimize heavy physical activity;
• do not visit baths, saunas and solariums;
• try to sleep on your stomach for a month after the operation;
• during the rehabilitation period, do not wear high-heeled shoes.

The effect of lipofilling of the buttocks can be lifelong, just like after implantation. Fat absorption with loss of volume occurs during the first year and mainly during the first 3 months. In the first year, 30-50% of fat is absorbed, but after the procedure in our clinic, the volume loss does not exceed 10-30% percent. Fat can be absorbed if the patient begins to actively lose weight, due to active sports, as well as due to diseases. Also, adipose tissue is vulnerable to compression and temperatures. Fat can be absorbed more quickly by massages or frequent use of the sauna.
