Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty, specifically the procedure for vaginal tightening, is quite popular, even though it is often not openly discussed. During childbirth, women may suffer trauma to the intimate area, such as excessive stretching, tearing, and the formation of scar tissue, which can hinder the natural tightening of the vagina and reduce sexual sensations during intercourse. Vaginal tightening surgery helps address these issues.

Vaginoplasty is also indicated for age-related changes, such as vaginal wall prolapse, which can cause pain during intercourse, urinary incontinence, or even vaginal prolapse. Vaginoplasty can effectively address these conditions. In some cases, it can be combined with labiaplasty (surgery to reshape the labia) to achieve enhanced comfort in sexual life and improved aesthetic results.

Additional indications for vaginoplasty may include:

• The need to correct congenital defects or injuries to improve sexual function.

• Reconstruction of the vagina after radiation therapy or surgical excision for cancer or other medical conditions.

• Correction of congenital anomalies affecting the development of the vagina.

• Vaginal thread lift
• posterior colporrhaphy
• hyaluronic acid injections (to tighten the vagina)

Other vaginal rejuvenation procedures include:

1. Labiaplasty – correction of the labia, which evens out or reduces the size of the labia.
2. Vulvoplasty , which changes the shape of the outer part of the vagina.

1. Before the operation, you must undergo an examination and consultation to prepare for the operation. The consultation with a gynecologist:

• A physical examination to assess your health and obtain more information about your medical history.
• Discussion of surgical techniques, results that can be achieved, cost of vaginoplasty, and post-operative care requirements.
• Recommendations to reduce the risk of complications, including quitting smoking

2. Vaginoplasty surgery, depending on the indications, includes:

• Removal of excess skin.
• Suturing to fix loose tissue partially or completely deep in the vagina.
• Posterior vaginal wall plastic surgery
• Reducing the size of the entrance to the vagina.

• Removal of excess tissue or abnormal structures.
• Preventing blood accumulation during menstruation.

Recovery can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the extent of the surgery. Post-operative care after vaginoplasty depends on the type of vaginoplasty performed.

The post-operative period includes:

• Mild pain for 3-4 days.

• Swelling and bruising for 7-10 days.

• Resumption of sexual activity after 3-4 weeks.
